Publisher Description
Karla is a personal bot that lives in your pocket or purse to help with your mental health and wellbeing. She was created by Synchronous Health based on decades of science and evidence-based practice, using experts from the fields of psychological counseling, lifestyle medicine, wellbeing, artificial intelligence, privacy, and human-centered design. However, she is not a substitute for licensed professional help and like any Artificial Intelligence, is still learning how best to be helpful.
Access to Karla is typically provided as part of comprehensive mental wellbeing program including licensed counselors or coaches, so check to make sure you are part of one of these programs before installing, as Karla works exclusively when humans and technology come together in just the right combination to improve life.
Whether you are living with anxiety, depression, stress, or other life issues, Karla is available anytime, anywhere with evidence-based exercises to develop skills and resilience to change your life. Karla’s repertoire of support is continually expanding and includes mental health interventions and other programs that have been shown to improve people’s lives.
As a kind of data scientist, Karla manages, provides, and offers data to you. Karla uses data from your Health app to look for trends in behavior and create informative graphs. As a liaison to therapeutic professionals, Karla extends the experience between visits by delivering the skills and exercises learned in session in the moment they are needed. Karla does not pretend to be a substitute for human compassion, but rather, she helps to scale it authentically.
All our programs are built on resilience. Life will continue to present challenges, but that by managing our experiences of stress and fear, we can also experience hope and joy. Resilience is a muscle that must be exercised. When life presents the opportunity to practice resilience, Karla will be there in that moment ready to help.
